Wake up, wake up, wake up. It’s time to wake up. An awakening moment.
How many of you like cheese burst pizza? Let the suspense begin and I will come to that part later.
There was a girl in my life. She was as lovely as flowers, as beautiful as butterflies, as loyal as dogs, and as friendly as books. Talking to her was as easy as A.B.C or an apple pie. The brave lioness used to fight for truth, for anything that is right, for social stigmas, etc.
But still the words will always fail to describe her.
There was a time when she was as calm as a millpond and as free as a bird, but soon deep inside there was something going on which most of us weren’t aware of and where she was a captive. She didn’t remember when it started but it was slow and subtle and gradually overpowered her completely. She started losing interest in things, her mental abilities becoming poorer just enough to remember her name. In a room full of acquaintances, she began feeling outlandish. She used to be silent with just a fake smile on her lips. It was weeks for her to hear her own voice. Soon she started to get paranoid at the thought of being in public. A black hole surrounded her and then one day her soul gave up, and she decided to end it with a jump from a 6 floor building. Writing a suicide note she went with a determination to jump, spent hours on the terrace but just couldn’t do that.
Finally she decided to go to a psychiatrist. The Doc told her to come with her parents and she did the same gathering all powers she had. Her parents were shocked, consulted with that doc and started the medication. But the girl never cared to take them and things keep on going worse.
Then one day her parents packed her into a car and drove her straight to their family doctor who was just a physician. This doc did hours of tete-a-tete trying to dig inside her deeply, did some tests and finally handed his phone to the girl.
PsychosisHer jaw dropped as she read that. Seriously? – that was her first expression.
Within moments, she was happy, relieved and was already half cured.
She thanked the lawmakers to make suicide a crime. She called it mirakuru (Japanese for miracle).
The doc explained that the only source of B12 in vegetarian diet is cheese so vegetarians are more susceptible to develop the B12 deficiency.
The doc gave her the brown pill to be taken as per prescription.
However, he exclaimed that the megadoses of vitamin B12 supplements can lead to high blood pressure, nausea, diarrhoea, numbness, etc.
The B12 supplements are not like Red bull to be consumed whenever you wish. They should be consumed only when prescribed though you may have a cheese burst pizza every now and then.
The girl strived in her lifetime to create awareness about this deficiency, so that many lives can be saved, and someone else does not suffer the way she did.
Let’s decide to spread the message and share it with anyone we can, either with family, friends, social media or may be with oneself first.
I am sure, now you have got one more reason to eat a cheese burst pizza.
